Vaporesso Target PM80 SE Pod Mod Kit
The Vaporesso Target PM80 SE vape device is equipped with a specially designed Axon chipset, making it very easy to use. Here’s a simple guide:
You can adjust the wattage in 0.5-watt steps from 5.0 to 80.0 watts. The voltage can be adjusted in 0.1-volt steps from 0.0 to 4.0 volts. The screen even shows the recommended voltage range.
Another impressive feature is that when you change the pod or tank, the coil scan happens almost instantly. It’s plug-and-play, so you just pop in a pod and start vaping without any adjustments.
Both coils work really well. I preferred the 0.2Ω coil for a warmer vape, but the 0.8Ω coil is great if you use the silicone bungs to restrict airflow for a tighter draw.
Vaporesso Target PM80 SE Info:
Here’s what you see in Smart Wattage mode:
- Battery status bar with percentage
- Mode ‘S’ for Smart Variable Wattage
- Current wattage (displayed as “W”)
- BEST bar showing recommended wattage range for your coil (e.g., 45-60W for the 0.2Ω coil)
- Coil resistance
- Puff counter, which also shows the Puff Timer in seconds with one decimal place (e.g., 3.6 seconds), but it quickly switches back to the puff count.
Performance
The vape performance of the PM80 SE is still fantastic. It fires quickly and evenly. While the initial “wow” factor is gone since I’m used to it now, I still love this device. It’s my go-to for direct lung (DL) vaping when I’m out and about. I prefer the restrictive DL draw of the 0.8 Ohm coil over the 0.3 Ohm coil.
The vapor production is still impressive, especially with the 0.2 Ohm coil. Just don’t expect massive clouds from the 0.8 Ohm coil, as it’s more about the ohms and power.
For me, the original PM80 wins hands down with its colorful screen and smaller size that feels great in hand. The PM80 SE and PM30 are also comfortable to hold and easy to use, but I prefer the 18650 option on the SE, even without a color screen.
The PM30 feels a bit confused to me—it’s somewhere between a loose mouth-to-lung (MTL) and a restrictive direct lung (DL) draw. I personally didn’t like it much.
