Vaporesso Target 80 Kit
The Vaporesso Target 80 Kit is the newest vape kit by VAPORESSO, a well-known brand for top-quality vapes.
The kit comes with the GTX 26 pod tank, the same one used in the LUXE 80 kit. It uses GTX coils and, in this kit, it includes an adapter to work with any device that has a 510 connection. Since I’ve already reviewed this tank in the LUXE 80 review, I won’t cover it again here. You can find all the details in that review.
The kit includes the GTX 26 pod tank, just like the one in the LUXE 80 kit. It uses GTX coils and comes with an adapter to fit any device with a 510 connection.
The TARGET 80 is a small, portable mod with a built-in battery. It measures 130.9 mm x 38.3 mm x 30.8 mm. It’s solid and well-built but not too heavy. I got the red version, but it also comes in black, green, grey, and blue.
The front of the device has a 0.96-inch color TFT screen that is bright and easy to read. The screen is excellent. The sides have colored panels.
Vaporesso Target 80 Kit Info:
It would have been nice to have a watt curve mode, which they’ve included in the past and is useful for many users.
- Click the fire button five times to turn it on or off.
- Click the fire button three times to lock the adjustment buttons.
- Use the up or down buttons to adjust the wattage.
- Hold the menu button to switch between the three power modes.
- Click the mode button three times to enter the menu.
In my testing, it charged at a maximum of 2.34A, which is higher than the listed rate and could have been rounded up to 2.5A. You can also vape while it charges.
The spring-loaded 510 plate on the Target 100 is raised from the main body, giving it a sleeker appearance. It’s now gunmetal like the rest of the frame, so using an atty gasket might be a good idea to prevent scratches. I measured it at about 24.6 mm in diameter (using basic plastic calipers), which might seem odd, but it fits most “25mm” atomizers perfectly without any overhang. Thankfully, they’ve done away with the lanyard clip this time around.
The major change is the switch to using a replaceable 21700 battery. You access it through a flip-open panel on the bottom of the mod, with a spring-loaded contact at the battery tube’s bottom to adjust for any battery slack. The battery polarity is only marked with a stamped minus sign on the battery door contact, which could be clearer—adding a simple plus sticker at the opposite end would have been helpful.
For charging, you use the USB-C port on the front panel, supporting up to 2 amps. In my test, it peaked at 1.4 amps, but it’s available if needed.
