With the 0.4-ohm coil, four LEDs mean it’s firing at 32 watts, which is perfect for that coil. The 0.8-ohm coil works best between 11 to 16 watts.

You can adjust the airflow on the front of the pod, ranging from a loose mouth-to-lung to a restricted direct lung vape. Removing and inserting the pod is easy; just pull it out or pop it in—the magnets will do the rest. After taking out the pod, remove the red rubber plug to reveal the fill hole.

The pod is almost fully visible, but it’s hard to see the juice levels because it’s very dark. When it’s running low, you have to tilt the device to check if there’s any juice left at the bottom. It’s not a huge issue, but I wish companies would make clear pods and offer tinted ones separately for looks. Overall, I’m happy with how the device works, except for the dark tint on the pod.

This device uses the reliable GTX line of coils, which I’ve used a lot before. But not all GTX coils work with every device, including the GEN AIR 40. I find it a bit inconvenient; I wish all coils could work with any device in their line. However, their website is helpful in showing which coils work with which devices.
